a lake in the sky

If you’ve ever flown over the Rockies,

then you know about the lake

in the mountain, that mirrors the sky—

you’ve seen it from the window of a plane

flying by—as a stranger to climbing so high

you forget yourself and jump—

into the mirror-like lake in the sky.

PHOTO: my hubby took this on a camping trip with friends (who love to fish) on Vancouver Island.

My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.” Psalm 25:15
