Friday is Recycling Day

Blue boxes crammed with

container goods, ends folded over,

make space for more

—cardboard from Costco

mimics origami birds and trees

reproducing a landscape

open to sunshine and rainfall

exposed egg cartons, soup cans

and glass jars get pressed and

squeezed together in small hope

of prolonging purpose.
